im very new at this stuff whats the red tip on the bullet.how u put it there?

The ballistic tip serves two purposes. The first is to aid in the aerodynamics of the bullet and allow it slip through the air with a higher degree of efficiency. The second is to start the expansion process once the bullet strikes the target.

The tips are put in place during the pointing process.

What type of die did you use on these? Was it a point forming die? During your trial and error did you expierance any cracked tips, and how did you overcome the problem? What did you use for the polymer tip, I've tried 6mm airsoft bb's and they end up cracking.

Hey Zack.
I used the standard point forming die that came with the set. I started out with airsoft BB's but they were way to hard and would not form correctly. These tips are made with ski plugs, they are extremely soft and the ejector has a habit of punching through them. They do hold there shape well after firing.
